Music Video of the New single “Y’all Ain’t” from the Lil Snupe R.N.I.C. 2 Jonesboro

Lil Snupe was tragically shot and killed a year and half ago. At the time of his death, the 18-year-old from Jonesboro, Louisiana was just beginning a career that held a lot of promise. After witnessing him at a battle rap competition, Meek Mill brought young Snupe to Dreamchasers. Unfortunately, he was never able to release a project on the label.
Luckily, Snupe’s main producers, C’Nyle and Lil Deezyana 318 along with Lil Lee 420, have gathered all of Snupe’s unheard cuts and released an album, titled RNIC 2 (Jonesboro), which dropped February 10th. They’ve also gathered unseen footage of Snupe.
Check out the video for “Y’all Ain’t,” Directed By: C’Nyle and Edited By: Joshua Holly which shows Snupe’s young talent in full force. Take a trip through J-O-N-E-S-B-O-R-O–“a bad place where most people don’t wanna go,” and get a behind the scenes look at Snupe’s prolific recording sessions.

LIL SNUPE'S R.N.I.C. 2 JONESBORO HAS OFFICIALLY DROPPED AND IS AVAILABLE NOW ON iTunes, GooglePlay AND AmazonMusic!

Jonesboro, LOUISIANA rapper Lil Snupe was fatally shot at age 18 as a result of a dispute over a video game battle. At the time of his death, he was considered one of the most promising MC’s of the new generation of artists that recently emerged from the Louisiana scene. His lyrical skills inspired rapper Meek Mill to co-sign Lil Snupe; after an MC battle, during which the young MC showcased his remarkable style, Lil Snupe was bound to join the roster of Meek Mill’s Dream Chaser.

Following his death, producers Lil Deezyana and C’Nyle, who created all the music for Snupe and assisted him in all activities, were able to put together this album along with music producer Lil Lee with the best recordings left behind by the late rapper.

The album RNIC 2 (Jonesboro) dropped today, February 10, 2015 on Millennium Era/TherezMore2C ENT; and is distributed by InGrooves.  You can cop that right HERE

The album features a few guest appearances; the current single/video for the track “Meant 2 Be” features Lil Boosie (as Boosie Bad Azz). The video is currently playing on MTV Jams and RevoltTV.  You can check it out below!

Here’s the Behind The Scenes of “Meant 2 Be”!

In light of the tragic death of the young rapper, his mother, Denesha Chester, has established a foundation in memory of Lil Snupe called ” Lil Snupe 4 Cornahz Foundation®”; the four corners represent Loyalty, Faith, Ambition and Love. LONG LIVE LIL SNUPE: REMEMBERING THE YOUNG DYNAMO WITH DENESHA “MAMA SNUPE” CHESTER

There is no greater emotional pain you can experience than that of a parent burying their own child. What makes it even more painful, is for a parent to see their child reverse their field and go from negative to positive and with a great future ahead of them. This is the pain of Denesha “Mama Snupe” Chester, who lost her son known as Lil Snupe, 7 days after his 18th birthday.

Lil Snupe is a story that SHOULD be told over and over again. Why? Because it’s a story of a youngster living the life and pulling himself out of the hole to take advantage of his natural ability only to have his life snuffed out as a victim of senseless violence. By telling his story, perhaps, just perhaps, we can motivate other young people to embrace even the smallest chance to make it out from the hole many of us are born into.

Lil Snupe hailed from the Louisiana and was a protege of Meek Mill whose pride and amazement at the youngster’s “off tha dome” skillz had the entertainment world ravenously awaiting the budding superstar’s full length project under the Dream Chaser’s imprint.

As a parent, I wish all of our children as much success as they can have and my “Live Session” with Denesha “Mama Snupe” Chester, was the hardest thing I had to do in 2014. Listen to her tell us about her son and the changes she was blessed to witness as her son came to some life changing decisions that gave him a legitimate shot at making it!!!

We also got some time from Lil Snupe’s mentor and hometown inspiration C’NYLE who gave us his impressions of Lil Snupe and what it was like to work with and be amazed by this young dynamo. Check out his interview here.
